We plan together to ensure that the service works towards your child's NDIS goals to build capacity for improved learning. Refer to your NDIS self-management guidelines or your NDIS plan manager to ensure that the service aligns with your goals.
Learning sessions, which incorporate a variety of developmentally appropriate activities, provide a “whole child” approach to increasing the child’s engagement, participation and independence in learning activities. Self-regulation, organisation, work habits, routines for learning and strategies for dealing with challenges are some of the focus areas of learning sessions. This builds the child’s capacity for engagement and participation at home, school and the early childhood setting. The child’s capacity to learn, practise and extend on developmentally appropriate skills and concepts (eg. school readiness and academic development) is increased.
